My name is Niaya E. Jones, and I am currently a 21-year-old college graduate who recently received an Associates of Arts degree in communication studies from Pasadena City College located in Pasadena, California. I am currently a junior student-athlete at California State University, Northridge majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in communication studies.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, I have always been surrounded by sports and the love the city has for all sports that naturally seemed to rub off on me. Being a student-athlete most of my life, I figured that it was only right that I pursue a career in broadcast journalism particularly in sports in the path  to becoming the honest voice of the athlete.

My interests include watching sports, playing softball, and spending time with my family. I am a firm believer that stepping out of your comfort zone is the only way to grow.
